Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was brought up in the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. Jacqueline is the oldest of two siblings and a younger sibling. Because of the turmoil in Lanka, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the late 1980s. Following her education in Bahrain, she was awarded a Scholarship to attend Sydney's University of Sydney, where she earned a degree in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. To further develop her interest in cultures, languages and other languages, she joined the Berlitz language schools in order to master Spanish and also improve her French and Arabic. She was also crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and competed at Miss Universe 2006. In the wake of her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan businesses called Lanka Business Report. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was brought up in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. Padukone played in the national championships while a teenager but gave up her sport career in order to be a model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean in her origins. Padukone Village is located within Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka in India. Prakash Padukone is her father and a former badminton star of international fame. Her mother is an agent of travel.
